Learn about the IPEDS Accelerator

You can use the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) Accelerator with Salesforce to help make informed, data driven decisions using real-time insights. Colleges can now easily compare insights from IPEDS against their individual performance. This includes data and benchmarking on acceptance, yield, enrollment, and completion targets.

Understand the Data Model Requirements

The following IPEDS data sources have been built with Tableau Prep Builder and are embedded in the Accelerator:

Admissions (ADM) for 2018, 2019, and 2020

12-Month Enrollment (EFFY) for 2018, 2019, and 2020

Completions (C) for 2018, 2019, and 2020

Institutional Characteristics (HD)

To add more years, beyond 2018, 2019, and 2020, to the data sources, you have two options:

Wait for the new IPEDS Tableau Accelerator to be published on the Tableau Exchange.

Manually update the data sources: Download the flow from Tableau Exchange.

Download the files from IPEDS.

Open the flow in Tableau Prep Builder.

Rebuild the data sources with the new IPEDS files.
